John 18  •  9/22/15

John 18 discusses Jesus arrest. Peter changes from a tough guy with a sword who cuts off Malchus’ ear (you can read it for yourself John 18.10) to a fearful guy who even denies that he knows Jesus not once, not twice, but 3 times! (John 18.17, 25, 27)

We discussed the ups and downs of our own spiritual lives.

In John 18.29 Pilate wants to know what the charges are against Jesus. He doesn’t get an answer in chapter 18…

Pilate also askes “What is truth?” Now there is a question that resonates through our current cultures and societies!  The answers vary to everything is relative, to let’s tolerate everything, to ‘it’s my way or the highway,’ to…

John tells us: “…grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” (John 1.17).  John the Baptist tells us; “He who has received His testimony has certified that God is true.” (John 3.33).  “...there is not truth in the him (the devil)." (John 8.44). “Your (God’s) word is truth.” (John 17.17)

How would you answer that question: ‘What is truth?’
